On the M40 today I came across a convoy of 4 or so heavily laden, smallish slow motorcycles. Upon overtaking them they turned out to be MZ's, British registered, one ETZ250, a 350 plus 2 "others" (no snorkers though) Made me smile it did. -- Dan L (Oldbloke) My bike 1996 Kawasaki ZR1100 Zephyr M'boy's bike 2003 Honda NSR125R (Going) Spare Bike 1990 Suzuki TS50X (Patio Ornament) BOTAFOT #140 (KotL 2005), X-FOT#000, DIAABTCOD #26, BOMB#18 (slow)
You can't fool me - I remember my brothers CZ 250[1].. Phil. [1] The one with the amazing timing drift.. impact drivers, araldite and (in the end) a brazing torch were all used to try to stop the timing-plate screws vibrating loose..
Indeed. However both are made in the same place to the same exacting standards.. Sort of like 'all old British bikes were crap' sort of thing. Phil.
You utter ****. Made me laugh out loud that did. -- Dan L (Oldbloke) My bike 1996 Kawasaki ZR1100 Zephyr M'boy's bike 2003 Honda NSR125R (Going) Spare Bike 1990 Suzuki TS50X (Patio Ornament) BOTAFOT #140 (KotL 2005), X-FOT#000, DIAABTCOD #26, BOMB#18 (slow)
I do seem to recall that the one MZ I had exposure to in my tender youth didn't seem to break down *quite* as often as the various CZ's and Jawa bikes that were around.. And you are the expert so I bow to your superior knowledge. Phil
