Paging Sweller - signallers strike

  1. I think it is different. All the run down parts of London are still part
    of a vibrant capital and world city. The provinces lack that vibrancy -
    it just felt "less" and the people seemed to be "put upon".
    I don't recall saying that nowhere in London was run down.

  2. I can't imagine that in a weekend wedding anniversary visit you visited
    the depths of malaise in Hackney or Peckham. Poor Mrs Sales if you did!
    I struggle to think of anywhere near Regents Park that can be described
    as run down.
    Not been to Solihull but you don't exactly have to get far from the
    absolute centre of Birmingham with its shiny new shopping centre to see
    dereliction and decay. I travelled through miles of it yesterday.
