    3 weeks before Chimay.

Hmm. Schleiz is supposed to be superb if the German classic rags can be
    believed...

  6. Just noticed that the circuit runs anti-clockwise. That's a bit of a
    rarity, isn't it?

Off-hand, I can't think of any other circuits that don't run clockwise,
but I'm sure there must be plenty.

The Brands meeting is an utter *must*, me thinks. And only 30-odd miles
    from the Chateau.

It's less common, but not really a rarity
On the GP calendar, there's Laguna Seca and Phillip Island at least.
And I think the new circuit at Turkey is too.

I can't think of any anti-clockwise UK circuit, mind.

IIRC Rockingham is raced anti-clockwise, or at least was for the BSB
    racing the other year.

That circuit involves cones so can't be considered a 'proper' circuit
    imo.

What a horribly wasted opportunity that place is.

I've looked at the track plans, and been there to spectate at track days
but still have absolutely no desire to take a bike out round there. It
just does not appeal to me at all.

    I haven't lost my mind, it's
backed up to a floppy disc
    that's around here somewhere.

If it was cheap I'd be happy to go again but they usually charge the
same sort of prices as Oulton etc. Given they are roughly the same
distance from our gaff it's a no brainer. Oulton Park utterly rocks
and should be the first on your list next spring.

Oulton's a long way from here and a trackday there's not really doable
in a single day. I'd need to stay over somewhere close the nght before,
which means at least a 2 day trip. All adds to the expense. I have
Silverstone, Snetterton, Mallory, Donington and Brands all within 2
hours of here, why would I want to do one in deepest Northern?

Do all of those, then do Oulton. Then come back and tell me I was
    right.

Almost exactly 150 miles but most of it on the M6, which is a fucking
    nightmare in a van.
