Paging the analoguesatellitisti

    Anyone using the old Astra sat to watch eurosport etc?

    If so, is it still working? Or has my father got a buggered box or LNB

    Looks like Eurosport Germany is still on (or was, at 13th July), but
    most of everything else on those sats has moved to DVB and encrypted.

    Well, he had CNN yesterday, and I'd have thought he'd have looked at
    Eurosport since the 13th July (but can't be sure).

    If it was being turned off, I'd have thought there would have been more
    of a fanfare

    Are all the channels dead? Must be a buggered box/lnb then. Anny boxes
    are twopence now, as are lnbs to go with them, so it'll cost nothing to
    fix by substitution.

    CNN and Eurosport (in English) are both on analogue right now. BBC World
    went digital only a while back.

    Turns out it was the cable knocked out of the LNB by the bloke painting
    the wall.

    Another mystery solved, free Eurosport reinstated :)
