As you pointed out last week, I really ought to embrace the third
millennium phone wise. Must pop in to a Vodafone shop and talk turkey.

Around nine months for me I think. Seems to do the job most of the time.

HTC Desire. Pick up a spare Cameron Sino 2400mAh for 12 quid and you've
pretty much got its biggest weakness sorted.

Interesting - do you have practical experience/ vouch for this battery?
I really would appreciate a bit longer battery life.

I've not used it in anger yet but I did do some research before buying
and while it doesn't seem to deliver on the 2400mAh promise, it does
come in around 2000mAh which is a fair increase on the OEM battery. It's
    also pretty cheap.

There is one drawback: it's double-thick, so you have to use the
replacement back cover that comes with it, and the phone'll be about
half as thick again as a standard item.

As an everyday battery, it's no more than a spare. But for weekends away
without charging (as a spare), at 12 quid it's not a tricky call.

At least it used to. Haven't used it for a while, wouldn't work
earlier, just updated to the latest version & that won't work either.
It says it's downloading the latest messages when I synch, then says
    'no unread messages'.

But re-subscribing to the group seems to have fixed it. Ahem...

Could you ask them to add a UKRM button which will mark all read by date ?

I tend to mostly read ukrm on the PC during the week and it would be
nice to be able to just catch up with the last couple of hundred on the
mobile over the weekend. Unfortunately I'm forced to download the full
weeks 10,000 unread messages 300 headers at a time and mark as read,
which takes so long I've given up trying to use it. Which is a shame as
I think Groundhog is the best Android usenet reader.

Just tried it now with the latest update and I've got a workaround, if I
hit the "Mark all read" button after finishing reading on the PC it'll
    sync from that point.
