    Hello peeps.

My local radio station (Heart Kent) sent me an email yesterday giving
me two free audiobooks from audible.co.uk - I'd never used them before
but was aware of them because of their iTunes integration.

Not knowing what to downloaded I decided to chuck Marley & Me by John
Grogan into my basked and it cost one credit. It's only just over six
hours long and I've managed to chomp through that last night and
    today. (6h05m28s, 83.7Mb MP3 22.05mHz 32kb/sec mono - perfectly good
    quality for an audiobook)

I'm unsure as to their subscription rates and pricing structure. When
I look at my account and go to edit the subscription nothing is there
and there's no obvious hint as to how much a subscription costs and
    how many credits one gets.

One credit appears to cover anything from pennies up to £30 but I'm
not sure how much one credit costs. Any Audible users here care to
    share their views?

Audible accounts are validated in iTunes and you can auth/deauth
accounts. They also appear in their own area of iTunes and on my
iPhone and the last listened position is synced from my Mac and my
iPhone so I can start off where I left off. So yes, that's iTunes
    integration.

Hmm. I thought the "£7.99/month" on the front page of the site a
reasonable clue to the sub. Not giving that much of a toss, I then
clicked on "FAQ", then "AudibleListener Credits" to find that £7.99 gave
one credit and £14.99/mo gave two.

    You're right. It's totally non-obvious.

Once one is signed in it's non-obvious. One would have thought that
it would have been in the member info section, account settings,
    subscription settings but nuffink.
