I bought some Montecristos for a mate's birthday, but the birthday bash
didn't happen due to another mate getting meningitis. So I thought we'd have
them this weekend for the meningitis mate's birthday. And then we realised
that it was freezing outside and none of us were determined enough to hang
around outside, without a drink, for the duration of a cigar. So the next
time there's going to be an opportunity to have them will be when it's beer
    garden weather.

None of us are what you'd call serious cigar smokers, so none of us have a
humidor. Any ideas on where I should store them for the meantime?

I doubt they'll get smoked within the next 3 months. I do expect that within
the next 3 months someone will spill something in the fridge...

Excellent. That's nice and simple. Is there a simple way to tell when damp
is too damp? Condensation on the inside of the bag etc?

or a well-used tea-bag squeezed out instead of the sponge: works for
    pipe tobacco.

After how many cups do you consider a tea-bag well-used?

  8. Some tight bastards I've seen could get several cups out of a teabag by
their normal method of waving the teabag over the cup.

  11. Why not just dunk the fucking things in a sink full of water and be done
with it? Jeez, you fucking people. I smoked Cubans like a **** for years
and used the zip bag method without any problems. Smoking stogies is a
fucking hobby, not a fucking science you fucking pricks. Jesus fucking
    Christ.

    Hahaha!

By the way, since I gave up smoking I have, in my humidor half a box of
approximately 5 year old Monte number 4s. I really didn't think I'd want
to move them on but I had one a couple of weekends ago and they're
really not for me any more. I'll give them to the first person
(including humidor) to offer to get me completely shitfaced at the BOSM.
There's probably about 250 quids' worth there.

But it'll cost 450 squid to get you completely shit faced.

  17. They were a couple of year ol when I bought them well before I moved to
this house and I've been here four years so they're at least (thinks) 6
    years old.

Yes, they are real Cubans, I got them from hunters and frankau

  20. Well yes, walking around and stuff, going shopping etc, looking at arty
paintings and what-not but point taken, ten years of single living took
    their toll as well.
