Paging the Cotswoldisti

Looking for a relaxing Saturday night break.

Small trad country pub style, good food, good beer, comfortable
accomodation, open fire, relaxation.

You know the score - any personal reccomendations ?

 

You probably want someone who doesn't live here as those that do are
unlikely to stay out locally.

 

The Lamb at Great Rissington was brilliant 7 or 8 years ago. Haven't been
since.

 

Pot Kiln. No accomodation on site. Super food and B+B near by. Great
beer too.

That's the problem. I can recommend quite a few good pubs but I know nothing
about good places to stay.

Aye, been, great food, but not exactly Cotswolds !

 

Redesdale Arms, Moreton in Marsh.

It's been a while since I've stayed at MiM but the RA still gets good
reviews on Tripadvisor http://tinyurl.com/redesdale

I was going to recomend the White Hart Royal but it seems the previous
owner let it run down a bit. Lovely building which is going to get a
facelift next year.

Looking at trip advisor it would seem that the rooms in the converted
stable are best avoided: poky, dark, smokers' corner beneath your window.
All other reviews seem to be 4 or 5 out of five. We stayed in one of the
garden suites as we had our dogs with us and had a wonderful stay.
