    A Spanish Costa hotel we stayed at, a few years ago, had a salt water
    swimming pool. Seemed like a very sensible idea to me.

    (round here at least). Not at seawater concentrations, mind...

    When I was nipper we used to swim in the saltwater open air pool at
    Minehead. That was probably actually sea water. Presumably treated. Well
    at least it was better than going through the motions on the beach.

    Very common in the Canaries, since they have extremely limited
    freshwater sources and don't generally want to waste it on anything
    people are going to piss in.
