Paging the excelisti

    Hi,

    Need help with an excel question beyond my experience. I have 2
    spreadsheets with entries in a column that are the same (name) - I want
    to, based on a match of these 2 columns take an entry from a column/cell
    in spreadsheet a and put it into a matching column/cell in spreadsheet b.

    I could do this by hand but there are over 1500 rows - must be an easier
    way of doing it

    any help other than RTFM ?

    YGM, depending on chris at bt or chrisu at bt being valid mailboxes.
