Paging the EXUPisti

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by Whinging Courier, May 7, 2007.

  1. What *actually* happens to performance if the EXUP or similar valve is
    removed from the exhaust system?

I wasn't going to change my end can but I've seen a bit of a bargain and
that bargain contains no hole or room to refit the valve. Which brings
    me to another question.

What do you do with the valve once it's off the bike?

This is sounding dodgy. I'd like to change it but I've a feeling I'll be
    wasting my money.

    You'll **** up the midrange.
    That's why it's a bargain.
    Yes.

You'll gain (usually a little) at the top end and you lose a lot in
    the low- and midrange.
