Indeed, isn't it a **** when someone asks something and then never
follows up eh? I've just not had the chance and now find myself unable
to sleep so that'll be my monday fucked now.

Anyway, back to the issue at hand.

Yes I knew a licence was on the cards £27 will do nicely and will have
to get a junior one at £5 for the 13 year old too.

As an aside when chatting to someone who fishs that I know he'd
mentioned there were several free fishing areas around Bedford,
however, I've realised slowly this does NOT mean I get away without a
licence, it only means its not controlled by an angling club or similar!

 

I know, up to £2500!!

A but a pole seems to be quite different from a rod in that there is no
reel?

On the way back from fishing, sitting on the high kerb outside the primary
school. We were resting having just made it to the top of Back Road.

 

One good thing was that I'd already found that Tis in my bookmarks

Aye, seems a lot of gear that to catch a fish!! but each to their own.
Yes this poles about 4m IIRC and fairly light so should be ok for now
Im sure.

yeah I don't get bite alarms, seems to me it takes some of the skill /
fun out of it.

 

Yes I remember the where, just couldnt remember the context IYSWIM

 

Was out of fishing for over 25 years and came back to it recently.
