Paging the Ities

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by Mungo \Two Sheds\ Toadfoot, Nov 17, 2008.

  1. Is this a proper Itie address?

06012 Citta' Di Castello (PG) - Nucleo Barzotti, 16

If not, what's wrong with it?

  2. That makes sense. Don't know what the Nucleo is though.

I can tell you if it makes sense: whether it points to anywhere real is
    another question!

The first bit looks okay: 06012 is the postcode for Citta' Di Castello which
is in the province of Perugia - they're usually written that way round.

Barzotti is a "frazione" - a village or hamlet - which falls under the
administrative aegis of Citta' Di Castello, and "Nucleo" means "town
centre". There may well be a road called "Nucleo Barzotti" - like "town
centre" or "village green" - and if so, it may well have a number 16, but
the postcode for Barzotti is 06014, so now I'm not so sure...

They're usually written this way round though:-

    Nucleo Barzotti, 16
    06012 Citta' Di Castello (PG)

I shall do a bit more poking about later tonight and let you know what I
come up with. How urgent is it?

google maps gives this address which has the same postcode - seems to be
a 1 street village in the mountains. Satellite image is not clear enough
to se if there are 16 residences.

  5. Thanks chappy. I've actually been given the proper address for the person
now (!) and the addresses you and Mark worked out do match up with it, all
    apart from the Nucleo part.
