Ok, been having a bit of a conversation with BGN, who's DFV'd the JOGLE
    run on the 22nd July.

Can SeanH, Scraggy and Big Dave contact me on my usual email addy, as
i've rejigged a potential tour itinerary somewhat to favour the
    Platyfest.

Since BGN has retired due to a non functioning motorcycle, and i've no
idea what your alternative plans are, get in touch.

Same for any other UKRM'ers who fancies the run, though with a new
potential start date of Fri 21st July at JOG.

    Let me know,

    Cheers,

    Paul.

I think it's worth pointing out that the Jogle itinerary was carefully
planned and set up by four members of UKRM including their resident
Travel & Tourism Guru over a series of many weeks until it was agreed
to be pretty much perfect for what was required and has stayed that
way since November '05 (which is before Platyfest had a date set.)
Holidays have been booked from work, hotels have been looked into to
match up with those dates even if they haven't been booked yet. It is
now just short of two months before the start date and quite late to
assume that those on the original Jogle trip can accommodate such a
large change at such short notice.

Should you wish to create a new Jogle group then I'm sure no one would
object, but the dates you have suggested will prevent at least one of
the standing group members reaching John o'Groats before the tour
starts. He is currently considering abandoning the tour as well and
may do something similar with a mate but going camping instead.

Ok, I took your "i don't care what you do, i'm not going" as pretty
    much free rein ;-)

I've not had any mails in any case, so I think your DFV is safe !

    Cheers

    Paul.

Hmm. That might be a problem...

    /I/ don't care what you do :)
The original dates were set simply because I wanted to go to the Rock &
Blues at the end of the week. It seemed like a neat place to have a
celebratory party (read: three days of drink and drug[1] fuelled
debauchery) at the end of the run.

I'm looking a bit dodgy for getting there anyway - I've changed jobs
since the original idea was floated and /everybody/ at new place wants
the second half of July for Holidays. I'm struggling to get any time
    off.

So like I said - do what you want with it - if I can blag the time off,
    I will.

    [1] drugs = imodium & ibuprofen

    Cheers

I think you'll find it was a "On the contrary, I'm not going anymore."

However, the Jogle runners will do whichever route they please.
    They're rather independent minded people
It's never just been 'my' DFV. It's more a group thing.
