How zealous are the Oxford parking Nazis?

If I were to leave, for instance, a motorcycle parked outside a shop on the
Cowley road for 20 minutes would it be either ticketed or nicked? :)

Depends if the ss are in the area.
Depending on location - there is a lot of free parking along the cowley
road, and there's a carp 'ark behind Tescos.
Most of the side roads have free parking as well.

The car park behind Tesco's would be a good choice, I reckon.
Pretty central, and I believe they have CCTV there too.

Well I want to go to the Nandos (!), so I was thinking of just sticking the
    bike on the pavement outside.......

That should be fine. I always park my bike like that on Cowley Rd., but
then I don't care about parking tickets, would I?

    True.

Few more trips to Avebury this summer? I found a much more interesting road
the other day that means you can miss out the A4 bit through Newbury after
taking the B whatisname from Wantage to Newbury ... and the route to get
back to the B4100 is rather suited to Transalp/VStrom type bikes (road - but
it's of the single lane, bumpy persuasion) :)

Well you weren't in this thread and anyway, you have a power ranger
    motorcycle :)

The intent (on my part) is try get down there most weeks if only to enjoy
the summer evenings (and I never have time to ride the bike on the weekend
    :/ )

Pah, I'll come on the Tig then & show you the shortcut home up the
    Ridgeway[1]
As good a reason as any, if only they'd get rid of the bloody wasps.

    [1] No, that wasn't a euphemism.

I would be up for that, with the change of clocks now and the weather
getting somewhat better. Short notice can suit me too.
