Hmm. Best refill the lighters and stock up on candles as well then.

  3. In uk.rec.motorcycles, TOG@toil amazed us
all with this pearl of wisdom:
    Mine's fine atm.

  4. But don't worry - you can always log on (at some point) to the Pipex
shop or enjoy your Pipex special offers.

Personally I'd prefer it if they ran their core business properly.

  5. Well, sorted, but.....

Downloaded the firmware, burned it to disk, put it on, installed it,
    installation successful, hit "Apply"....

    ....and everything froze.

Impossible to connect to the modem/router too. Fark. Pipex's helpdesk
shrugged and said to contact Netgear.

Contacted Netgear. A voice with a thick Indian accent said "Get another
    modem/router."

Contacted Sniper, who popped over, and was bemused by the fact that he
couldn't see the router either. He did a dial-up connection to Netgear's
site, found out how to do a factory default settings restore (bit of
wire poked in the back), and then all was well.

    Fucking, fucking Pipex.

So the rule is: find a hole and poke something non-conductive into it.

Whoops! So an unbent pape-clip is *not* the thing to use [1]

[1] I have an DG814 for sale [2], still in perfect working order,
    never been abused by a paper-clip ...

    [2] Upgraded to wireless DG834GT,VTi, 4WS Turbo
