The same. The Brentford Trilogy, now up to six (or is it seven?)
    volumes.

I've been Pratchetting since '85(?) when I tripped over Colour Of
Magic when it first appeared in paperback. He's well beyond those
books now, in style and content, not just years. I'd go along with
Mort and Reaperman, 'cos Death is, indeed, THE DUDE. As a standalone,
I really like Pyramids, but as a series the City Watch books take some
    beating.

  7. Very Odd stuff indeed. I read the first couple before getting waylaid
    onto something else.

I'd start at the start (Colour of Magic) and work on from there. The
style of the books does improve as you go along, and the technological
advancement of the discworld does too. To me, they make more sense (as
far as possible) when read in order.

Oh please. As if. I'll be refereeing, correcting technical errors and
    setting mildly difficult questions.

More like "15-love to the dumpy bird", "Bergenholm, not Bergholm", "Name a

  18. I've been considering doing just that. I've read about half his stuff on
and off and haven't read any early ones for years. I might have a go at
putting a chronological collection of sorts together and fill in the
    blanks as I go.

Try "Girlfriend In A Coma". It's like he had a John Christpher-esque
idea for the first half, and went into his usual half-baked metaphysical
shit for the rest. If he'd written it in the mid 70s it'd be GCSE
fodder, but he didn't, so he missed the boat big time.

Shit. Utter shit. Paging the literati, etc.

Worth following the sequence normally posted at the back of the book

.... if only so you have the faintest clue who characters are as they
    turn up
