Really? Explain then the comments of a merkin nursey type burd who I
was talking to who said, "Look at it this way superstud, in my town we
have three laser surgery clinics and more than dozen hungry lawyers and
non of the lawyers have earned a cent from malpractice suits against the
clinics."
Maybe the failed procedures weren't as a result of malpractice. Not all
failed operations are, but ALL operations carry a risk and the "clients" are
probably made VERY aware of that small fact.

Diabetics are possible candidates for laser surgery to sort out fucked up
retina's at some future date, so if they go with the laser correction out of
choice they're lacking in the "upstairs" department. (IMO of course)

Even, though I think they are available for astigmatism now, I don't think
I CBA with them, even if I could learn how to poke myself in the eye on a
daily basis. Not only that, I'm at that crappy stage where I have to have
one pair of specs for reading, and another for distance. So far resisting
the varifocal/bifocal option.
Varifocal lenses are brilliant for most people. Some obviously have a
problem with them, but everyone I know who wears them (including me)wouldn't
go back to having two pairs or different needs.

6. Tell me about it. When the quack started listing the issues involved in
my quad bypass it took him nearly ten minutes just to go through and
tick them off.

I did the sums afterwards and can conclude from the results that I erred
in my estimates by a good order of magnitude and was very pleased to
still be here on the anniversaries which have passed since.

Does it ****.
We clean lenses with meths, acetone, isopropyl and all manner of shit, fairy
liquid is hardly likely to do them any harm.
it.

If anything damaged the lenses it will have been the hairspray.

Is the hairspray still on them? Try nail polish remover, unless they are
polycarbonate.

If the coating is bothering you I can probably take it off (free), LMK if
you are interested.

Funnily enough, by the time they came to sticking the thing in my eye I
really couldn't have cared if they's scooped it out with a desertspoon,
I was that fucked throgh weeks of pain and lack of sleep.

News years eve 1982 it was, chronic iritis which my useless **** of a
GP failed to diagnose.

Medicine, the science of art rather than the art of science.

I was watching a TV show the other night about cholesterol and one doc was
saying that a change in diet can result in cholesterol levels dropping
"significantly" thereby reducing the need to use a Statin. The week before
another doctor said exactly the opposite and that most people who attempt to
lower cholesterol by diet only manage it for a matter of a few weeks and the
drop is "insignificant"

More opinions than facts when you talk to a doctor. Ask 4 of them the same
question and get 6 fucking contradicting answers/opinions.

Odd that. I use thinners to clean overspray and all other types of shit off
my specs and the coatings have never shown any sign of coming off or even
thinning out. This thinners will remove 2 pack isocyante paint AND zinc
chromate too, so it's not piss.

I've NO idea how lenses are coated, but IME they're coated for the life of
the lens and in my case that's fucking years coz I'm a tight ****.

17. I am told it contains minute bits of ground up salt, which can act as an
abrasive and over time can dull your lenses with zillions of teensy
weensy little scratches. I use it mind and have never had issues.
