Heh, I saw SLF at Friars in Aylesbury, must have been (hmm) circa 1980.

  2. The 70s were bloody brilliant. I had a great time. Mostly.

  3. Not sure if it's wise to mention that Adolescent Sex was a good album...

Their cover of I Second That Emotion was great, though not as good as
the original. Tbh the only band in that list I find utterly without
merit is Yes but a troll's a troll eh?

I saw them, briefly, at the Heineken (free) Festival in Brighton in
    1993.

I was mostly there to see the Levellers.

  9. The album. The only other one I have (on vinyl) is Quiet Life which I
probably wouldn't want to listen to now. Not sure.

was he wearing a 1970s German Army overcoat and/or DPM trousers? Did

I think I was probably wearing a german army parka and 10-hole DMs (para
boots being harder to come by in my size), if that helps.

you're being unduly unfair on Bear here - remember he has mates that
used to be in the Paras. Or was that "mates that had once been to
    Paris" - I forget.

You're never too old for a mid-life crisis.

I normally recommend having one every year from the age of 23 for men
    and 69 for women.

And that's if your lucky. A pal of mine wasn't when his panniers sipped
sideways and into the wheel of his VFR. That was the last thing he ever
rode. Or drove come to that, although he was a "feet forwards" passenger in
a black limo a week later.
