Ah - I tend to reject E Cheques seeing as they take 8-10 days before
you get the money.Negates the whole point of Paypal for me.

Paging Ginge, did it cost you any extra to send that money recently?

See other post - no I used the echeque and bank option as I needed to
set that up anyhow. The credit card option would have charged me
    some tho.

Live and learn. Quite handily it cleared today allowing the purchase of
    a 40D.

Nice. I sometimes wish I'd got one of those instead of the 400D, but
eventually I'll have to get whatever replaces the 50D this way..

  7. Champ laid this down on his screen :
You go to the home page and type in your postcode, it then only lists
the offers at your local outlet.

  8. Champ explained on 12/03/2010 :
They are on offer as from Sunday morning, but they stay on offer at the
same price until all their stock is gone in each store. Sometimes the
stock goes in the first few minutes, sometimes it might last for a few
weeks. If any linger for an excessive time, they now tend to discount
    it.

  9. Adrian used his keyboard to write :
Mine is now 4 or 5 years old and still working fine. I had a bit of
bother with the outlet pressure regulator earlier this year - a rubber
seal had somehow managed to turn itself upside down, but that was
sorted by me at no cost.
That very much depends upon what you want to use it for. I got mine
mainly to be able to blow up the (something like) 30 odd tyres on the
various things we have here and occasional tool use. I don't mind
waiting a few minutes if I use all of the air, for it to refill.

I have taken air lines all round my garage and workshop from this
compressor - very useful. If I needed more capacity I might consider
    adding an extra tank.

Tyres, air blower, schutz gun, rattlegun. Not high volume use, but when
it gets fired up, it'll get used, IYSWIM.

  11. Adrian formulated the question :
It will do all of those adequately for domestic use. It has nothing
like the capacity needed for spraying large areas.

  12. There is nothing at all pikey about either store. They sell equal or
better quality food than the other supermarkets and in many respects
    are better laid out.

  14. Steve expressed precisely :
That seems awfully expensive for 15m of airline. I bought 4 or five of
those hard plastic orange curly extensions about five years ago for a
pound each and they are still good.

Be aware of that clear reinforced pipe shown with the filter /
regulator kit. It just balloons up and bursts after a small amount of
    use.

If anyone does go, could they pick me up a rattle gun please?

Itll need to be posted to the IOM, unless anyone is over here in the
    near future.

I finally clicked on the link and the price is going to tempt me to Aldi
Nottingham tomorrow. Failing that Bulwell and Long Eaton. Bargain,
although ideally I'd like something a bit bigger.

    I expect I'll be there for about 9.59:59 :)

You're either deluded or an employee of one of said stores if you
    honestly believe that.

Go and fucking get one. Even if it's a pikey POS, it'll work and it'll be
guaranteed, so you're not going to waste any money and they're an
    indispensibe tool for ANY workshop.

You'll wonder (a) why you didn't get one sooner, (b) how many air tools can
you fit in your drawer and (c) how they make such a decent compressor for no
    fucking money.
