I've got a mesh reinforced version and it's probably the most hardy but
inflexible airline I've ever used. It's defied all attempts to break it or
    even puncture it too.

I still prefer my 30 year old length of airline which is used every day and
for most of the day too. It's fitted with a plastic connector and that's as
old as the first version of the HVLP fitting. That won't break either, yet
every metal one I've bought, has died.

Neither, we use one out of personal choice. We have a Tesco half a mile
away, a Safeways 2 miles away and both an Aldi and a Lidl 6 miles away.
We fairly regularly use all of them, but prefer some of the food
available at Aldi as a matter of taste and quality. Most of food money
    goes to Aldi.

    I wouldn't mind a couple of them.

  5. These are nylon mesh reinforced, but I guess the mesh just wasn't
    strong enough for 125PSI.

FFS you ponce, just get in your car tomorrow morning, drive to the
nearest Aldi and see what they have. It won't kill you.

Sorry, I meant Sainsburys when I wrote Safeways. I'm not aware of any
local Waitrose, but then I don't do the shopping.

    The defence rests.

This has got me thinking though. The argument that Aldi / Lidl sell
quality food seems predicated on the various taste tests that have been
pretty well won round and about.

OTOH it's been pretty soundly shown that what the general public thinks
tastes good has little / no relationship to the actual quality of the
raw ingredients, when it comes to processed foods.

Fill it up with salt, sugar and fat and mostly people will say it tastes
better, so must be higher quality.

OTOH I *like* some of the stuff they sell, I just can't bear to go into
our local Lidl (IIRC) which is just round the corner, because it really
*is* as pikey as hell. And not at all nicely laid out.

I was merely wondering aloud if the food from Aldi and Lidl etc are
    actually better *quality*

    In which I completely agree.

How empty must your life be if buying a chorizo sausage seems like

IMHO most of the rest of Europe take their food much more seriously
than they generally tend to do in the UK. Lidl / Aldi sell much the
same food here as they do in the EU. There is nothing at all pikey
about our local stores, they are new, scrupulously clean, well lit and
well laid out with the usual cross-section of customers you see in any
    supermarket.

A similar distance away we have a Netto. I have only been in there once
out of curiosity, but never, ever again. A not very nice experience at
all. Whether this applies to all of them or just our local one I don't
know - shopping is not something I do.
