    I did once. I was of the opinion (hope) that it was kph speedo, but I
    was mistaken.

    Champ's old Gixer is like a comfy old Chesterfield in comparison.

    on a totally unfamiliar and evilly fast bike[1], still recovering from a
    mini-stroke and I had to follow Hog, in his fucking quick Porsche 911
    thingy, through unfamiliar twisty Northern Irish lanes to get to his old
    gaff to collect the paperwork. He wasn't flat out, but he wasn't holding
    back. How I didn't become another statistic that day is anyone's guess.

    [1] The first time I rode a bike after the TIA I was scaring myself at
    70mph. When I went to pick the Gixer up I was by then comfortable up to
    about 120, but the acceleration of my old 9R was scaring the shit out of
    me sometimes. The Gixer is much faster accelerating.
