You still got there a day before him, though.

It doesn't seem to use any petrol, either.

Is that a reference to Illusions by Richard Bach?

Really? Your leathers would seem to disagree with you on that one.

I've never found a reasonable answer to that one. Various people have
put forward theories that seemed like bollocks but the slipping never
bothered me so I never changed the clutch plates.

My GlodWing[1] slips in second. And only in second. Odd coves, bikes.

[1] Which reminds me, I really must contact Petrolcan and retrieve that.

  7. Is there a hydraulic preload adjuster on the shock?
I had E1 carbs on my C1 for a while. Made the engine much smoother :)

It's the Ohlins from your brothers old bike. The set up on it is ok
for most riding (apart from the spring rating being way too high) and
after I'd wasted an hour or two trying to set things up I dragged a
friend round to my house who set it up within minutes and didn't even
    need to sit on it.

It's funny how fully trained technicians know more about this sort of
black magic than muppets like myself who just think they know. Of
course this is only the case with suspension and home mechanics will
always do a better job than the spanner wankers in a dealers workshop.

    That'll be Steve then?

He helped me set up the Gixer shock, it worked lovely after that. It
took him all of 2 minutes of bouncing the rear end to work out what
needed doing and he sorted it there and then. I still owe him beers for
    that.

Yup. When you consider the shit bikes he rides himself it's nothing
short of amazing how he can sort out the suspension on Jap sports
    bikes.
