    it's quite straightforward to move a jeep around in a horse and cart as well,
    although why anyone would choose to do so is beyond me.

    I've cured the problem entirely by installing the VirtualBox Guest
    Additions which was one click on the menu, now the Windows XP guest
    machine (which is running on OSX Leopard) has all of the drivers to
    think it's a proper machine, including Direct3D stuff.

    I've just been installing OpenSolaris on the eeePC .... 'cos I can :)
    And accessing my desktop via SGD so I could run VirtUalBox sessions form the
    eeePC...'cos I can....

    I need to get a life

    So how is OpenSolaris in terms of memory foot print and general resource
    hogging? What are the upsides and downsides in comparison to other OS's?

    How's sound support and video drivers?
