  1. I've got a 1998 S40 (T4, if that makes any difference) and the gearbox
leaks a bit of oil, not much but enough so it needs topping up every now
and again. Now, I've got a tame mechanic round the corner who does it
for a packet of fags and a handshake but I'd like to start doing it but
    here's the problem. Where's the fecking top-up hole-plug-thing? I cannot
    find it for looking.

Unscrew the gear knob on top of the gear stick and pour it down the
    hole.

Probably the same woman who wanted to buy a 710 as she had forgotten to
replace it properly after topping up the engine.

I dunno and it wont help but I've got a 2 disc set of the Volvo Vadis
    if you want it.
Downloaded it for a mate and its no use to me as I've never had a
    volvo in my life.

    Front wheel drive isn't it?

Prolly shares the same filler / drain hole as the engine
