Paging the Yorkshire Contingent

All that talk of cheap SAABs on another thread has got me scouring the
car sales sites and Keighley Trade Centre seems to have a few
well-priced 9-5 Aeros. Anyone any experience of them? OK? Cowboys?

Heard of them, yes.

Heard loads of bad stuf about them, too.

Mostly involving 'mileage corrections' on Japanese Imports.

They also seem to sell lots of Max Power modified shite.

Hmm, should be fine but I've sent an alternative.

 

Run like the wind would be my advice. My mate bought a car from them, they
described as mint, and said they'd be giving it a service. Neither of those
were true as oil was at min and looked pretty old. Not that this mattered,
because when they pulled it out, there was a nice amount of oil smoke out of
the exhaust - which the guy tried to pass of as condensation in the pipe.
Whilst we knew this happened when it was chilly, we also knew what heavy oil
smoke looked like. Thankfully, he was checking it over before paying and
walked, although getting the agreed "if it's not as good as you say, I want
that back" deposit back took about an hour, and they didn't seem to care
there was potential customers walking around well within earshot.

Also, like SteveH says, I've read a fair few stories of them 'correcting the
mileage' and also faking service history.
