Agree with the first two, but I've no idea what a spline bit is,
long-reach or otherwise. As it appears I've never needed one, they
can't be that important. Which of course guarantees I'll need one this
    weekend, although I won't know that's what I need, cos like I said, I
    don't know what they are.

Check out this set - Draper Expert 21932 40-Piece Tx-Star, Hex and XZN Bit
    Set

    I've got it & it's bloody handy.

I can just see you saying that, one hand on the bar steadying yourself
as your knees appear to have gone a bit wobbly, the other clutching
nervously, alternating between heart and wallet.

  8. Well, I can't take these sudden shocks like I could in my younger days.

  10. me neither. 30 minute personal training session and then after a couple
of hours about an hour on a motocross track yesterday. Very stiff this
morning. Still I think this may become a saturday routine.

Mind you the hands aching are probably due to changing three tubed tyres
    yesterday...

I'm impressed by the variety of good tips in this thread. Yeah,
there's more than one way to skin a cat, but you could skin a litter
    with this thread.
