Not quite sure, TBH - the only way to really find out is to pull the
ECU and check the version. I'm pretty sure that they'd fit mine but
    mine's a 92...
Opinions are divided but from what I remember the Harman chip has
pretty good writeups in the US and I *think* is fairly sought after
there, mainly because it's not available anymore. So I think what matey
is selling may be dumps burned into hopefully the appropriate ROMs.

By the way, you do realise that the "easy fitment" involves removing
and opening the ECU, then replacing a fairly delicate component with
reasonable number of bendy pins that's hopefully socketed?

    On Sun, 13 May 2007 14:05:07 +0100,
Speaking of ebay, I have the remnants of a CB in residence. If and
when anybody's passing Flitwick/M1 Junction 12 en route to Sarf
    Lunnon, you can 'ave em.

You did know that the tail light lens is broken, right?

Depending on the outcome of yet another fleabay auction, I may be
    passing that way next weekend.

  5. Thanks. I'll probably pop up and collect 'em myself, weekend after next
(I don't get back from Colomnbia until Sunday 20th).
    DILLIGAF?

It's the rear wheel hub I really want, so I can get a new wheel built up
for my SL125 without having to piss around sending the existing one
away. and having a wheel-less bike sitting around the place. I've
    alrteady got the new rim.

There are bound to be some other bits and bobs I can rob from the
carcass before I shove it back on Fleabay.

    What's your preferred tipple, btw?

  6. Ah. Well, if you do, it would be appreciated. It's only a frame, rear
wheel, pair of mudguards and whatever odds and sods are bolted to the
    frame.

Incidentally, if you want to borrow the trailer next weekend, feel free.
Just let The Doctor know. It's shackled to the outside wall, and the key
to the shackle lock is in the pot (she'll know what that means) and is
the one with a little miniature bike jacket dangling from the ring.

Remember you'll need the spare wheel as well (just in case). That's
tucked behind the trailer. And a number plate, of course. Tie-downs are
all in a box in the boot of the SIlver Tuddy.

  7. Ah. No, I didn't. The potential for disaster is therefore limitess, I
    assume.

I think I'll leave well alone. ta for the heads-up.

  8. I doubt very much if any of the feedbackers possessed much in the way of
chip soldering skills, so I'd guess it's socketed.

Teach a man to fish and he and his pikey mates will have the
river cleaned out in a day.

's wot I thought, trying to picture you fiddling about inside an ECU
:). Mind you, I've done stuff like this before...
Maybe worth asking Brian if he thinks they're worthwhile having and if
so, see if matey has burned a few more by then.

I would normally expect that it is but you don't know if it's not glued
in to prevent it from falling out and other fun stuff like that.

Hmm. Frame might be a problem.
OK, but we're talking about a cage here, not a bike. One that most
likely isn't big enough to hold the frame.

  12. I did ask him last time I was there, and from the tightening of the lips
and the sudden frost that appeared on the windows, concluded it was a
    subject better left alone.

Well, someone at least as deranged as myself or SteveH saved me from
buying the cage I was bidding on. However I've got to go fairly close
to Pixieland next w/e anyway, but there's no chance I'd get the frame
into the Merc as well as the rest as I'll have four rather sought
after, expensive[1] Japanese alloy wheels in the car.

[1] Expensive only if you know what they are. Matey wot sells them
    probably forgot to Google.
