A while back you mentioned you might be looking at a Tiger. Did you
research prices? Any idea what constitutes a good deal on new and newish
    Tigers?

Indeed not pink ones, but what about yellow ones? It may be time to
    clear out the "collection".

  3. I think I was quoted 7k otr on a new Tiger, which these days comes with
full luggage, heated grips, centre stand, tubeless tyres & other
    desirable stuff.

The Older Gentleman scribbled on the back of a napkin:
I'm pretty sure that's about list. I *was* tempted to get a brand new
Tiger instead of the GS but figured that for the mileage I do, residual
values on the BMW would be somewhat better.

Yeah: most dealers are advertising them at £6999, although I *think* that
    list price officially is 7k2.

I've been quoted 5400 (trade) on a year old, low mileage bike, but it's
not quite pristine. A much neater bike is up at 5999 (private, but
through a dealer). I'm confident I can get it for 5600, but I think that
might still be a little higher than need be for a private sale.
