This is what I was told when the ABS light came on in my cage but the
garage 'cleared' the fault and it passed to test. Still comes on
    occasionally in hot weather though.

    Did it get a new cam-belt at 90,000? 1st question a clued-up buyer
    should ask.

A good question. I think so, but I should check through the sheaf of
receipts the previous owner gave me.

A BMW passes with the LEDS flashing as the test process does not allow the
self test to complete. The self test only completes and the LEDS are
extinguised if both wheels rotate at the same time. As the rolling road
only tests the brakes on one wheel at a time...

Yep, knowing there's £700+ bill coming up (or not) can affect the
price considerably. Amazing how many are sold at 85K.

£700? Huh? What for? Changing the cambelt?

So I'm told. I thinh Honda dealers look on Pan-owners as a licence to
print money. Mine's only done 35K so that day is still a long way away.

That's ridiculous. The belt itself is about 50 quid. It can't be more
than a couple of hours work. I'm going to be doing mine soon, I'll let
    you know.

Hmm.. a 3-spanner difficultly rating. Middle and top fairings off
(budget new clips), cooling system drained (easier if the down-pipes are
removed) radiator out (after 90K are we going to keep the old hoses?
better budget for them), clutch-cover gasket, drain-plug washer,
antifreeze and engine oil (better change the filter then?) spark plugs
out (how new are they?). It all adds up. I seriously doubt if I could
get the fairings and radiator out in a 'couple of hours' but then I am a
    ham-fisted, impatient git. Better GAMI.

    Interesting!

The cam belt was done at 60,000. So it's "only" 45,000 old. About
    half-way to the next one.

I don't actually remember her being blonde but she was young and on the
night, the most beautiful girl in the world. Obviously being a friend of
Laura she will be fairly smart too.

I'll have to ask Laura if there's a photo - I think there were at least a
    couple taken on the night.
