The time has come to part with the Guzzi outfit. I haven't really used it for over a year since the boy grew big enough to ride pillion on a solo. Have promised to dig out SWMBO's CB250 again and get it sorted, so that we can go on joint solo bimbles. 1989 Moto Guzzi Mille GT (black) Squire RS3 child adult sidecar (black) The chair was fitted by Squire themselves and is really nicely set up. Unit leading-link forks. 15inch real wheel with car tyre. Electronic ignition. Stainless exhaust system. Only done 20,000 milesish New leading-link fork pivot bearings just fitted. New battery just fitted. .. In need of a full service and polish up. Hopefully 12 months MoT from tomorrow. Piccy can be arranged if anyone interested. Free vehicle listing day on Ebay tomorrow so strike while the iron is hot I reckon. No idea what I could realistically expect to get for it, but don't want to give it away. Suspect the chair makes it worth less, particularly as the forks would have to be changed and the back wheel rebuilt to ride it solo. -- +-----------------------------------------------------------------+ | Pete Fisher at Home: | | Voxan Roadster Moto Guzzi Mille GT/Squire RS3 Gilera Nordwest | | Gilera GFR Moto Morini 2C/375 | +-----------------------------------------------------------------+
You will probably get as much as £2500-£3500 for this if it is tidy. The Squire forks alone cost about a grand. A private advertisment in one of the 'classic bike' mags may be worth a try first for a couple of weeks though rather than Ebay. The chair professionally fitted makes this far, far more valuable than a solo. JB
I'm with JB - decent outfits *always* fetch good money, and this is worth far more than a solo. It's a seller's market. Hard to assess without seeing it, but I can easily see it selling for 2.5k+, with those good front forks and everything properly set up. I'd love it - you don't fancy lobbing it my way with some cash for my 1200 Trophy?
Well, if I was looking for long distance mile eater I would be very interested. As it is, I must confess that the Voxan usually gets back to its natural habitat by trailer. Two or three hours on a bike is pretty much my limit these days. although on a suitably sack of potatoes riding position machine I can still manage Wolvo to Heysham OK. Many thanks for the advice though. -- +-----------------------------------------------------------------+ | Pete Fisher at Home: | | Voxan Roadster Moto Guzzi Mille GT/Squire RS3 Gilera Nordwest | | Gilera GFR Moto Morini 2C/375 | +-----------------------------------------------------------------+

The garage is damper than I thought and some alloy surface oxidation is in evidence. A couple of hours of work with a selection of small brushes will keep me busy while waiting for an advert to get in to a magazine. -- +-----------------------------------------------------------------+ | Pete Fisher at Home: | | Voxan Roadster Moto Guzzi Mille GT/Squire RS3 Gilera Nordwest | | Gilera GFR Moto Morini 2C/375 | +-----------------------------------------------------------------+
