Are you interested in EBay item 110443256661, pretty close to me
so I could pop over and take a look.

  2. Thanks but no thanks. Too far from home, too leggy.

What you want is a nice 14000 miles example with a pristine clean carb
    ;-)

Needs a new battery yet and oil change. That won't be until after half
term now (I'm bringing back the faux WR250 from 'the chateau'). Once it
is sorted I'll let you know, as SWMBO has agreed to sell it one way or
    another.

From its best side. The Jama silencer on the other side has some fine
rust pitting. The alloy lacquer is as you might expect after 10 years in
    a not dehumidified garage.

With the air cleaner connected back up and a bit of a twiddle of the
idle air (or is it fuel on these) adjustment it is running very sweetly
indeed. Filled with new 10-40 semi-synthetic and so I have revved it
well. Running better than it ever did. A very slight tinkle at idle that
could be normal or could be valve clearances or cam chain. Still not
sure what the bolt on the rear of the cylinder is. The later models were
definitely fully automatic adjustment, but this might be the loosen then
    tighten type.

Keeping an eye on the one in the link above to get some idea of price.

I'll look out for a bargain battery at the Classic Show, but it won't be
ready to run properly until after half term. I suppose I ought to get
short term insurance[1] on it and get it MoT'd (let's not get in to
CIHAGM cover for uninsured vehicles again).

[1] The problem being that it is in SWMBO's name and her record is not
exactly brilliant. Though perhaps short term insurance just for me might
    be the answer.

  7. I'd have to see it to be sure. Looks good, though.
