  1. I seem to be in the process of replacing my 600 bandit with a 1200 and
want to check that the price is reasonable.

    N reg (96)
18K miles, 10 months MOT, will be serviced prior to me getting it.
reasonable condition but some small scratches on the fairing.
datatag, immobiliser, rack, engine bars, new battery, reasonable tyres

he's been offered 2K to part ex and is giving it me at the same price.

    ta.

Just about, yeah. Early tattyish ones go for ukp1500 or less, but it's
hard to find a decent one for less than, say, 1800 quid.

I always get suspicious when I hear "It'll be fully serviced before
sale", though. It generally means: "I've changed the oil for the
cheapest stuff available, and wiped the leaking fork oil off the
    stanchions."

It's also an almost suspiciously low mileage - I'd verify it against
the MoTs. Give it a very close once-over, Adie. If it all checks out,
then a low-miler Bandit is always a decent buy.

  4. I know its a decent one. I just wanted to give him the right amount
    for it,
heh. its my brother thats selling it so I know it'll come sorted.
its a low mileage cos he's got a company car and have two young kids
so he never gets to go out on it. my sis in law has a SRX that must
have done less than a hundred miles in the three years she's owned it.

he wants a speed triple and was going to wait til next year but I know
he isnt going to use it over winter so I guess he's decided to cash in
    now.

  10. ****. I parsed the original posting as being a 600 Bandit he's selling.

    Bite his arm off.

Nuffink a big tin of Satin Hammerite and an angle grinder wouldn't
    sort out.
