So, he's on the look-out for another one. The only thing is, this sort of bike isn't really the sort of thing that I would go for, and I'm a bit lost as to the true value of it. Anyway, here goes: It's based in Chorley it's a sort of deep red colour it's a 1996 Kawasaki Zephyr 400 Apparently, it has Tax and MOT Apparently, it also has new C&S The seller is looking for a quick sale, £875 ono. Now, there is no mileage quoted, nor is there any mention of the period of time left on Tax & MOT. I reckon it's an import, and is also being sold by a dealer who just wants shut of it. Given the above, what sort of money would it be worth paying, assuming it was ok, dependant on the mileage? It's a sleeved down 550, so it's got all the bulk and weight of a not-very-light 550 with the power of a Super Dream. No mention of how much t&t is left. The price is a joke - you can get a decent 550 Zephyr for that. Crucially, when the exhaust headers wear out, and they do (where they siamese), you can't replace the headers with 550 headers because they're narrower diameter, so they have to be ordered specially from Japan.
