paging XJ900isti (not Diversion)

I wandered along to the Hereford Motorcycle Centre at lunchtime. Pokey
little place, smaller than their old gaff which is now a branch of Majestic
Wines.

Anyway, they have a 1998 XJ900 in stock. Allegedly under 22k miles in dark
red. It was tucked away behind 100 Italian scooters but looks in reasonable
nick.

Is the £1995 asking price, inc 6 month warranty, the going rate from a
dealer?

I'm not interested in buying it but I know someone who may be.

 

That's a Diversion.

I reckon it's around £500 overpriced.

That photo does appear to be of a Diversion. I was sure it was an
earlier XJ900 when I looked at it this afternoon.

They are only a 5 minute walk from my office so I'll pop down again if
it's a sunny day like today to check.

<googles> seems it would have to be a lot older to be an XJ900 so brain
must've had a bit of a spaz attack. I blame being the only bloke in an open
plan office with 9 people.

 

The giveaway is the big word 'Diversion' on the fairing.
