P48 of Dec Two Wheels seems to have a reference to you

"there were some very quick bikes like kawasaki track bike to some very
relaxed bikes, like a very nice moto guzzi norge. which was ridden by a
    woman"

I'll have to locate the mag... what was the reference? I haven't been
anywhere but to work and back for ages!

If it's a track day or even the Pter Stevens opening then it's some
    other woman with excellent taste.

Neither it was Smith's column in TW, apparently there was a ride
organised by Rob Colligan (that name rings a bell - some sort of m/c
tour operator ?) which ran from Sydney to Victoria via Snowy Mountains
possibly for the motogp (not clearly stated whether the PI references
were the same ride or a seperate ride)

Do we have to start calling the Norge a girl's bike ? :)

Still not me then... Rob Colligan is part of AMC, you'll have
seen his name on the MCC list.
Beautiful to look at, relaxed, easy going, well mannered, but can go fast
and hard when you ask it to? Must be for girls, what man would want that!

    Ahhh yeah OK.
There's an easy cheap retort but I'll let it go to slips, I've insulted
    enough people this week :)

    - who should get JL to throw a leg over the girl's bike at some
point, if only to collect someone else's whinge about the
    centrestand

Well given you asked for it ;-) :

    1. No, that's what we want our *women* to be like, not our bikes

    or

    2. Pfft fast and hard from 250Kg of barn-door fairing and 100HP ? Not
    blewdy likely

    3. Insert cheap shot about looks here (I don't actually mind the way
it looks so I'm a bit half hearted on that one)

    4. Relaxed ? Easy going ? I ride a bike to have fun and go fast, not
have a snooze, next thing you know you'll start mentioning how soft
and comfy the seat and heating are. Real men ride bikes with plank
seats, handlebars down around the front axle and more HP than the
    average family sedan.

    etc etc <grin>

Oh I sat on a Guzzi at the motorshow (errm the R1100 knockoff I think
    - Breva ?) and the sidestand is stupidly enough placed. You won't have
to convince me that the centre stand is just as bad - I believe you .

I'd be happy to find a woman that was like a bike.

My bike is currently taking up space, not working, costing me money and
    leaking green fluid.
    No thanks!

My bike is a classic 1978 model in original condition, beautiful to the eye
and pleasing to the touch, performs superbly, goes and stops when told,
never complains and is cheap to maintain and admired by all.

Nothing like a woman at all really.

    Again?

You have removed so many heads you will have to change your handle to the
    High Executioner.
