Well at least I know I wasn't being a wuss!

"There is a large tear of the hamstring muscles at their origin, the tear
    measuring 14.6 x 5.8 x 4.4cm. The biceps femoris and probably the
semimembranosus muscles are involved." (gee, 2 out of 3 ain't bad!)

The lady who did the ultrasound didn't seem to think there was much muscle
actually still attached... I KNEW I was hurting for a reason!

Have an appointment with a surgeon on Monday morning.

betty, paying for her sins now <grin>

  2. And you did all that just flipping someone's wheelchair? How's your
    dwarf-tossing?

Fark a duck; and you rode 300-odd km of mountainous roads to get home
    afterwards!
    RESPECT!

Not as good as my para-flipping... Well, it wasn't so much the flipping as
the landing underneath the flippee that did it. Need to work on my
    technique...

<snigger> Coming from you, Clem - Mr "Ride to Queensland with a bad back" -
I'll take that as a huge compliment - although to be honest, while I was
riding it only hurt when I went over a bump, or when I had to stop and
actually put my foot down. Having to fork out $300 to hire a car that hurts
more than the bike does was somewhat more painful! (and I suspect the bills
    have just begun...)

Aah, but the lovely Minx ferried me to and from (she's a legend!) I would've
been devastated to have missed the social event of the year! Just had a
horrid thought - Wintersun is only a month away - fark - hope I'll be back
    on the bike by then!

LOL, am working on the anaesthetic properties of red wine.... so far, so
good... but don't feel it would be terribly appropriate 24/7 (bugger!)

    She ripped a 6 x 2.5 x 2 inch hole in her hammy Johno.
She may've been doin' it wrong but you can't fault her enthusiasm!!

    Well, better a 6 x 2.5 x 2 inch hole in her hammy, than a 6 x 2.5 x 2
    inch hole somewhere else! :-S

I think it provides people who aren't sure of their bike choice
    validation :)
