The desert pumas motorcycle club live for the Chang Jiang 750 a
legendary vintage motorcycle. The bikes burn money and what's left they
spend on American US army gear. They're fans of second world war movies,
in particular The Great Escape. As a human being they have a strong
desire for the power of freedom, democracy and the pursuit of a happy
life and to ride like Steve McQueen.

    Fantastic.

And they ride into the desert to eat kebabs, drink beer (Chinese
Guinness) and try to ride outfits up stupid slopes.

In the exchange starting about 11:12 ... well, ok, I don't speak any
Chinese, but I'm fairly sure what he was saying was "girls, beer, SOBs,
etc.", rather than "the power of democracy...".

heh - yes, I thought the translation didn't match the delivery at all,
    too.

I think the translator may have been interpreting his statement as a
    desire for `Western style freedom'.
