Paul Ricard opens for SOBs!!!

  1. A one-day classic bikes trackday on Sunday 22 May.

The first time it's been opened for bikes since 1999. Details in the
latest Classic Bike, but basically, six groups (four for road bikes and
two for race bikes) and all sorts of classic displays, old racers, etc
    etc etc.

180 euros for the trackday: 10 euros for spectators.

OK, who's up for taking their old nail down there? I want to take the
    400 Four.

I'd love to take the 750SS down - don't really think an R100RT would be
appropriate..... but I'm not sure I could make it all the way on the SS
and be able to walk when I got there.

  3. CB72 won't be ready by then. Unfortunately.

Hoping to take the RD to the BOSM though.

Ahem. There is no Sunday 22nd May this year. I assume you mean the 24th,
which would coincide with the late May bank holiday.
Depends how the work situation pans out. I might be game if I can find
the weekend I need to bolt the SF2 back together.

Looks like it. For SO Italian bikes the Trofeo Rosso is worth a visit in
    July:

  8. Oops, so it is. And I've just checked - CB *definitely* has it as May,
so they've got the wrong month. Bunch of arse.

Oh well, 22 March I'll be in Chile, so that's that.

    their cock-up.

Bah. I got a bit excited there. I had almost persuaded the missus to act
as back up crew so that we could have a wedding anniversary week in
Provence :) Then she said 'If you're taking that bike you can go on your
own..." She can be very understanding. Cant make it in March though....

Sounds as if she would have got on with my mother, then.

She always referred to my stable as 'dirty, smelly old motorbikes'
whether they really were dirty, smelly old motorbikes, or as good as
    pristine, and put together dry...
