Perth Gear Recommendations ?

Discussion in 'Australian Motorcycles' started by Paul Raj Khangure, Nov 11, 2005.

  1. Does anyone have any recommendations for (or against) shops in the Perth
Metro area which sell motorcycle gear? Vic Park / Cannington area
preferred - eg along Albany Hwy / Shepparton Rd.

I'm a motorcyle newbie, looking for a decent place to get a helmet,
    jacket and gloves.

Also, anyone know which shops, if any, have jackets in Fat Bastard(tm)
    size?

    Cheers,

    prk.

  4. What size are you?

If you are 6XL or less then go and see Bryan at Dale Britton motorcycles at
the Causeway. (Tell him Big Rob sent ya)

Or if you are bigger than that Bikers Corner in Joondalup has all the Black
Rose gear which goes up to 9XL.

    Cheers

Causeway is good because you can check out all the shops and there's a
good chance *someone* will have what you want in the right size. Also,
I've found discounts on accessories seem to be pretty standard.. make
sure to ask what they can do for you. Especially if you've been there
before for a bike or service. I hate to think how much I could have
saved if I'd known this earlier.

If you're not too worried about fashion, look for last season's gear,
    it's often discounted.
Think about boots too if you haven't got them already.

You have no idea how lucky you were to get anything
helpful at all on this newsgroup.

Did you mean the Perth in Scotland?

  11. Of course not.

How could anyone think I meant anything other than the Perth in
    Tasmania?

i find the perth shops are hit and miss. sometimes u walk in and are
totally ignored and other times they will be helpful. Bikers corner in
joondalup though have always been really helpful. bit out of the way,
    but i like them.

helmet house in vic park were pretty helpful too. dont really like going
to the bike shops on the bike strip in vic park. totals have been good
sometimes and bad sometimes with me.

recently went to lloyd chapman in mt lawley (or somewhere around there).
new accessories bloke there called Jono who i found to be really helpful
and will go back there again.

    hope that helps a little.
