  1. I've been and collected my non-deliverable can

    http://www.automotif.co.uk/products/trophy/?f=c

It's fucking *lush* and I got the link-pipe, all the connectors and
postage for a lot less than retail.

Just need a dry weekend to put it on.

    It's a can.
    Not so happy me.

I have got to have a new disk for my Bloo GS, so the man says. On the
bright side though, there is an almost unused one on my other GS which
looks as though it will be migrating in the next few days.

see, that looks OK. It's the "devil" logo plate and the cheap-ass
strap bracket I dislike on the OPs.
Sort of - I had titanium oval Remus cans on that.

I can't really talk, mind - the Blueflame "White Carbon" (actually
carbon/kevlar weave) can on my 'blade looks gash.

That plate was the only reason I bought it, you bastard.
Oval cans don't look nearly as manly as rounds, imho, a bit like the
real thing but a scardy-cat's way out.
I thought you were selling your Blade?

I am. Need to book a test ride on a Z1000 / Speed Triple / KTM
SuperDuke, when the weather gets a little better.

I've had a recall notice to get the 'blade's forks looked at, so I'll
try and kill too birds with one stone and get Lloyd Cooper to do the
recall work and let me have a go on a Z1000 demo bike if they have
    one.

I knew the name rang a bell.
I've got a silver carbon blue flame end can for a gixxer thou sitting
in the garage which we were going to knock up a system with
until those DP pipes came up on ebay. It's very gash, but I'm
sure there are a couple of punters on here, if not ebay, who would
probably be interested. There's also a Yoshi pipe in there for
the same as well, but it's got a ding or two in it...

You might want to think twice. I'd be happy to own any of those bikes.
You want to do something about the can. Your last comment
    notwithstanding, Blueflame are fucking horrible.
I almost bought a Zed instead of the R1 but had to own at least one
plastic bike, even if it is against my principles.

Well, me too, which is why I want a test ride on all of them to see
which one I like best. The clique have suggested that Z1000s are
    "gay", but **** 'em.
I have the original can too.

parachute club got a second plane (Islander), I got the 996 and 3 other
    Jumpers bought dem R1 things.

The clique wouldn't know style if it jumped up and punched them in the
    face.

If it wasn't for the good price on the R1, I'd have bought a Zed.

    No question.
Ithought about drilling the rivets out on the original on mine and
removing the baffle because I do like the look of it. Despite paying
quite a wedge, racecans are a fundamental waste of money.

Keep the old one and you'll have many more spares for a long time to
    come.

not really. I've narrowed the list down to those three, having sat on
a much wider selection at Ally Pally last month.

The KTM appeals because it's a v-twin, but I have The Fear of KTM's
reliability and build quality, and sheer lack of dealerships.

The Z1000 is "favourite", because it's such good value for money
    compared to the other two.

Money issues asside, the ST is the overall "favourite", mind.

Well the Triumph isn't likely to dissapoint *if* you can find one at a
    decent price

that's the problem - Triumph can sell every one they build, so there's
    no discounting.

I haven't found anyone selling '05 pre-regs either, presumably because
they sold all the bikes last year.

It's sufficiently hot that it would be the only street bike I'd consider
    chopping this B12 for.
Carl Rosner in Croydon has/had a black 2006 model demo for sale £7k 0208

    [Speed Triple]
yeah, I saw that on Autotrader. Like I said, I'm going to get a demo
on at least the Triple and the Z1000 before finally deciding.

Then again, I might follow through on my brainstorm of the other week
    and buy a Thruxton...
