Finally back online after being away for so long... I see that Supremodel
are running a winter model comp - is Tali K making a return appearance?

A tidbit of news... Fox group have raised the cost of hiring Phillip Island
by 50%. As a result the ride day operators have to jack up their fees. They
don't seem very happy about it, which is fair enough. Not real good for
those who do track days either. Hopefully the ARDC won't follow suit and put
Eastern Creek prices up as well.

    Crap crap
but its not all bad, how many times have u wanted to go last minute and
havn't been able to because its booked out. A $199 price tag might reduce
numbers when u can ride at winton for $125.

Winton isnt a $125 track, where PI is a $200 one, but when you work it
out, for a whole day, + tires + fuel + day off work + spares + getting
there.. its not a cheap DAY..
Remember someone here did a costing on the 2 days they went, was close
to a grand. New tires $4-600, $200 for day, fuel, accom etc.

How much is it to race there now then?

I'm just trying to look on the Bright side other wise I'll end up going fox
hunting ;-), I've just booked in for the 1, 2, Nov online lastweek while
they had a holidays break before I knew about the price jump. On a brighter
note it was already 175 for those days anyway, 25 bucks a day extra is
nothing when your paying so much, for the 2 days. Will possibly have to buy
tyres before and after. My current tyres I've managed to wear out the front
twice as quick as the back. Very strange.

A standard track day a phillip island was around the $140 mark (Usually just
pay and try not too think about it) and a public holiday was $175 what they
have done is incressed the price to $199 for all track days.

This works out to be about right

Yeah motorbikes are cheap thrills once you have paid your $1500 for
insurrence, $500 for your rego, $500 for your tyres every 7000k in winter
and 3000k in summer. But u save so much in fuel, citilink tolls and
speeding fines all because you don't have a front numberplate holding u
back, well thats what the government says anyway so it must be true ;-P
