Piaggio Zip 50 2009 model

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by Nick Le Lievre, Dec 11, 2008.

  1. I phoned up a local bike shop today to enquire about the price of the
Piaggio Zip 50 Scooter, I'd seen it priced at £ 1077 on the official site
which is £916 ex VAT and £943 inc Jersey GST.

The bike shop said it was on offer at £899 which I thought was a pretty
reasonable price however I am more interested in waiting untill April 2009
    for the 2009 model.

I emailed the bike shop about the 2009 model and at first they said it would
be pretty much the same as 2008 except maybe another colour offered, then he
sent a 2nd email saying they were changing from a 4 stroke engine to a 2
    stroke for the 2009 model.

What does that mean? is a 2 stroke better or worse and/or is he making this
up trying to sell me the 4 stroke 2008 model now before, they used to be 2
stroke so why would they go back to 2 stroke.

Also said that the price of £ 899 would be going up on 1/1/09 becuase of
the euro exchange rate and the new 2009 in April/May would likely be more
expensive. Is it all sales ballony.

    WGAF? You're a self-obsessed uberwibbling **** that pops up once a
year, hammering out new threads all on the same topic just for the fun
of it. Go **** yourself on alt.scooter, where that sort of thing is
    encouraged.

Stupid ****. Why bother even posting then shithead?
It means that's what they are selling next, you have no control over this,
if you want a 2s buy next years, if you want a 4s buy a current model.
    Ballony?

You are one tedious ****, but stick around, you make me look good.

Oh hang on, no don't, just **** off & die.
