Unfortunately taken using my crap camera and even worse photography skills,
but you get the general idea ...

I also used the first free photo hosting site I found, so apologies if it's
crap / slow / run by the NSA.

  2. Looks like they were a bit keen with the use of the dry powder
    extinguishers.

Simon Atkinson emerged from their own little world to say
I think I would be with a burning car in close proximity to a petrol
    station.

You can't fault their after-service care. I thought they'd put out the fire
at the petrol station, but just to make sure they came round last night and
did the whole area for miles around.

    Top blokes.

I know, enter it for the turner prize. Just think up some sort of
bollocks title or statement about it - crushing inevitability of
disaster given the western world's avaritious use of the earth
resources - and bob your mothers brother. Then you can get a SWB
    rally missile to replace it

  10. It was somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the
drugs began to take hold. I remember "AndrewR"
    etc...

    Hmm.. that's pretty fucked. Betcha wish you'd bought a Scimitar now;
when they catch fire they do it properly.

Next time, look seriously at diesels.

  11. I know there have been more bike fires in racing, since FI became
universal. I'd be interested to know if there have been more cases of
road bikes burning out in crashes, but I don't suppose it's the sort of
thing that you'd find statistics for.

The Older Gentleman was seen penning the following ode to ... whatever:
Doesn't surprise me, given the amount of fuel something like a Triumph
FI system can pump out when it's trying to maintain the pressure in
the face of a fuel leak.

The only time I nearly had a car go the external combustion route, was
with an old fuel injection pipe splitting. I noticed when I was topping
up oil and checking tire pressures at the local garage. There was a
steady stream of petrol running down the engine, and the odd puff of
    white petrol vapor.

Unfortunately it was towed away this afternoon, so it's no longer mine to
    sell.

I still have one boot strut for it that I could sell, I suppose.
