different to any other presenter in what way?

I'm also dismayed at the endless hyping and mega-super-destroyer-EXTREME!
type billing.

Something simple like Robot Wars which is where clever geeky types make
remote control vehicles that hit each other and then look embarrassed
when the female presenter in leather trousers stands next to them.

This simple and endearing format seems to have gone down the Americanised
WWF mega-super-destroyer-EXTREME! route.

Which is a shame as I quite liked watching the geeky types come up with
interesting solutions to the fighting robot problem.

Now it just looks like television for retards.

 

I went to the filming of one of the episodes (although half of it was for
the Dutch version).

It was a good day's entertainment.

The funny is subjective I appreciate but Craig Charles was a performance
poet and before becoming a presenter a stand up comedian. He was highly
rated in both roles and particularly as a live act in clubs. Something
not normally associated with performers who are lost without a script.

So what do you base that observation on?
