Ping Androidy Types....

  1. Those nice people from Asus just gave me a Eee Pad Transformer TF101,
    the new fondleslab with detachable keyboard. Being a total Android
    newb.... how does one go about setting a Proxy server so I can talk to
    the outside world with it ??

    I dunno what version of Android it's running, but in the normal phone
    version they left out support for proxy servers, which is a pain in the
    arse.

    I recently got an Android phone and it all just worked, which is just

  4. That's what it looks like..... ! Doh....

    Bit of an oversight isn't it for anyone wanting to use an adroid
    device as a serious business tool connecting to a corporate network.

    Even the iPad knows about proxy servers when confronted with them.

    It's a nixy thing. Keep it simple add what you need. I hate google
    android because comes packaged with also sorts of bollix I spend time
    cro barring out. Phones should come with a gui and a dialler, nowt else.

    I'm thinking od the Transformer, post back after a week and let us know
    how it's working.
