I thought that was what you shouted after launching a cricket ball in the general direction of your opponent? -- Beav VN 750 Zed 1000 OMF# 19
I've seen all three more than once. Only suffered from sore head, though. About a half-a-dozen times. Fingers: now there's a frequent injury problem. -- | ___ Salad Dodger |/ \ _/_____\_ GL1500SEV/CBR1100XXX/CBX1000Z |_\_____/_| ..93550../..25068.../..31928. I can understand that and thanks to your adverse experiences you have got it all wrong. Cricket is a metaphor for sex.
if you think that's why sports fans follow teams, you're sadly mistaken. even ones those that I amazing that you, a weekend-warrior with near masturbatory gushings about the military, call on Kipling to support an opinion of yours.
Bwahahaha! I, am an ex "weekend warrior" (which if you want to think that is an insult then fine by me but it has little to do with my reasons for joining the RAuxAF, or indeed, leaving) b) My interest in the millitary is mainly historical and technical rather than "mastubatory" as anyone that knows me properly would attest to and c) I thought that quote would probably provoke that sort of response, but I hardly need Kipling to "support an opinion". My opinion is my opinion.
Ok, "ex weekend warrior". I don't see it as an insult. I support a good number of current weekend warriors on a day to day basis. I just can't see why anyone would bother. b) My interest It was a reference to your postings here. as anyone that knows me properly would attest to and c) As well you are entitled.
As many reasons as people like sports, I'd guess. A lot of ex- military join to regain some of the cameradary and drink cheaply in the mess while boring everyone with when-I-was-on-Vulcans stories. Others to "give something back". *I* joined as I was newly single and needed something to do and to get _not_ joining the RAF at 17 out of my system. Which it did very nicely. Oh come on. While I do certainly make postings in relation to aviation and military history, I'd challenge you to find anything remotely "mastabatory". It's an interest and as far as aviation history goes, a very long standing interest, but that's all it is.
Now this is where you lose me, because it is entirely beyond my comprehension why anyone would want a metaphor when they can have the real thing. <thinks> Oh... You mean... People play cricket because they aren't getting...
Indeed. Please pass my thanks for the three easy points to your fellow team members if you would be so good old chap.
