    You'll have to help me out here, I never watched Torchwood.

    I prefer to think of it as prima facie evidence that if humanity is obliterated
    in a global catastrophe it will be no great loss.

    And yet my weedy little Nova 1.5 TDi managed the two bike trailer bit
    regularly for 5 years (and more than once three road legal Morinis
    loaded on) without problems (well the engine fell out one day but that's
    not important right now). An even weedier 1.3 petrol Opel Kadet coped
    for three years. Ah, autobox bands - nuff said.

    It's the only car I've ever had a gearbox failure on. I suspect the box
    was 6 speed take on an older design not capable of coping with the
    respectable torque the motor could summon up, unlike the gutless small
    petrol engines. It's fair to say that I occasionally made use of that
    torque to make progress in a way not usually associated with towing.

    Having said that, even the Alfa 75 2.5 V6 didn't seemingly suffer from
    naughty towing antics when I was doing numerous high speed commutes to
    West Country venues every summer.

    The Mazda 6 seems OK so far - time will tell.

    I rebuilt the autobox on my old ('78) 6 litre V8 Cherokee[1]. It wasn't
    too bad a job, but I'd hate to try it on one of these fancy modern
    boxes.
    I just missed out on an LPG Mazda 6 Sport4 last week. It would've taken
    a taxi - train - coach - plane trip to collect it though so probably
    just as well.

    Of course!

    <crn>

    I invented it!

    </crn>

    But then I would've had to post a message here to check if you got the
    email, & you would've had to reply to both the email & the message
    here, cos that's the law. So this seemed easier.
    Ooh, anywhere nice?

    Are these firm plans now?

    We have a very high quality tender in to build/operate a new Radiotherapy
    somewhere. You will be in easy range of a good 155mm artillery piece (come
    the revolution)

    Don't forget to leave space for both fridges, now. One for the beer,
    the other for the meat.
