As you used to know Mick Surman, I thought you might want to know his wife Monica died last week. -- Krusty www.MuddyStuff.co.uk Off-Road Classifieds '02 MV Senna '03 Tiger 955i '96 Tiger '79 Fantic Hiro 250
Shame indeed, she was a good egg (& also my godmother). Anyone who can put up with Mick for 50 years /has/ to be a saint. I don't know how he's gonna cope without her NP -- Krusty www.MuddyStuff.co.uk Off-Road Classifieds '02 MV Senna '03 Tiger 955i '96 Tiger '79 Fantic Hiro 250

Mick owns a small bike shop and engineering company in Aylesbury, which his son has a big hand in keeping going. His first love is Speedway and Grasstrack racing. He used to be one of my customers when I worked for Bickers.
He's a right miserable old sod. OTOH if it's the son I met a couple of weeks ago (the one into trials) he's the complete opposite.
You obviously don't know him well enough. Mick is a very warm, generous and funny guy when you know him and are accepted. I got accepted by being as rude to him as he was to me on one particular sales call, and I knew the working relationship had changed when he turned round with a big grin on his face.
