I've got 6 weeks to grow something, if not a variety of options have
    been outlined.
I was counting on 3 months.
Frag's was impacted by NSAIDs iirc, as of today I'm not taking them so
    hope that will help.

I'm allergic to milk (and to all dairy to the extent of mild symptoms
but milk makes me very ill immediately) so am resorting to yoghurt
drinks and cheese on toast for the calcium.

First time I read that sentence my brain replaced the penultimate word
with 'clitoral'. Had to do a double-take.

But where will I find such a wondrous substance?
    Oh he does.

But what do I do in the week?

Comfrey probably, I hadn't got Bartlett's out but that's reminded me
    ta.
I'm allowed to try as of today due to the excellent muscle structure
    supporting leg.
They've gone, kicked to the side of the road like a dead pigeon.
Oh yes. Much experimentation is taking place.

Well I'm not going to argue with *you* on that topic.

SWMBO broke here leg about 6 years back, so my memory may be faulty, or
I could have just been told crap.

Comfrey used to have the common name "knitbone". It promotes cell division
but there are some concerns about it being mutagenic and/or carcinogenic,
    particularly if taken internally.

Some soya milks have a calcium supplement.

Mother is dairy intolerant so I make her a rice pudding with soya milk.

Her GP has prescribed her a Ca supplement that has VitD included to stave
off osteoporosis. Apparently, you can have as much Ca as you like. Unless
you have VitD in your system you won't metabolise it. You can make VitD by
sitting in the sunshine, although you need to be naked to maximise
    production.

    AOL.

When I was crocked up with the injured knee I protected it too much by
using the other leg for much of the work going up stairs.

It took me a few months to rebuild the muscles in my left leg. It got quite
    painful too.
Indeed. My soft tissue injury took many months to heal. It seemed static
for a very long time then suddenly started to feel right again. Then the
    work began, as mentioned above.

In the UK, middle aged women tend to have a lower than desirable Ca
in/uptake. Hence the prevalence of osteoporosis in elderly women.

I'm confused about psychosomatic stuff, it's *obviously* a load of brain
washing shite, but if it *works*.... um... it works, and that's a
    tangible benefit of hokum. *baffled*
